I have worked in testing and certification since 2000. Initially, fire testing to BS & EN standards, before joining the BRE Global (UK Office) in 2016. I moved into certification in 2017 as a certification manager for the cables team, responsible for the UK and International clients, managing cable certification projects from initial inquiry to final project sign-off.
I moved to BRE Global Ireland in 2019 as Certification Engineer for Passive and have continued to develop my role, focusing on the management and undertaking of EU-related Notified Body certification activities.

Before joining BRE, I had the privilege of serving in various office management and administrative roles in both Zagreb and Dublin.
In my previous position as an Office Manager at BRE, I diligently oversaw a wide range of responsibilities. From handling administrative duties to managing finances, I ensured that operations ran smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, I had the opportunity to delve into certain phases of project management.
At present, I am serving as the Operations Manager, undertaking additional responsibilities. In this role, I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation. This includes managing a team, optimising processes, and ensuring that we meet our operational goals. It’s an exciting and challenging role that allows me to broaden my skills and take on new challenges, further enhancing my professional growth and expertise.
Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement and curiosity to see what the future brings.

I started working for BRE in 2021, beginning my journey with the company through their graduate scheme. I now work as a Project Engineer for BRE Global Ireland, specialising in managing and maintaining certification projects. I strive to maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance, supporting BRE Global Ireland’s commitment to excellence.

Louise is a certificate engineer working in the field of fire protection. She has over 35 years’ experience in research, testing and certification of fire suppression products and systems.

Louise is actively involved in the development of the European and International standards.

Phil – Group Quality Manager, has been a quality professional for the past 30 years and in the Certification and Testing business for the last 24 years.

Sarah is a Certificate Engineer working in the Passive and Fire Suppression areas. She has over 35 years’ experience in the testing and certification of Fire safety products and systems.

Sarah is actively involved in the development of the European and International standards.

“Before joining BRE I have worked as a Senior Safety Approvals Engineer for various notified bodies and also worked as an Engineering Team Leader.
I have 17 years’ experience in working with the low voltage directive and experienced in test and verification of electrical appliances for compliance with the requirements of various standards at National, European and International level.

I also have 9 years’ experience working with the EN 54, Fire detection and fire alarm systems managing product approval process for various parts.

I have joined BRE Global Ireland in 2023 as a Certification Engineer undertaking EU related certification activities for Fire Detection & Electronics Testing.”

Tony has been in the testing and certification business for 45 years. Having spent 25 years at BSI testing in a number of different product areas including vehicle safety, acoustic testing of construction equipment, marine and lift safety and progressed to managing the Lift Safety and Marine Equipment Directive certification areas.
Tony joined BRE in 2004 and has been in a number of different roles in the Passive Fire Protection testing and certification group and oversees the Marine Equipment Directive work for the wider BRE business.

Before joining BRE I have worked as a Team Leader in Test Laboratory for other notified bodies. I have over 10 years’ experience working with the Construction Product Regulation (CPR) and I have 6 years’ experience working with the EN 54 standards for Fire detection, managing product approval process.

I have joined BRE Global Ireland in 2023 as a Certification Engineer undertaking EU related certification activities for Fire Detection.

Chris is a Project Coordinator working in the Fire Suppression area. He has over 10 years’ experience in the administration and certification of fire protection products.

I have joined BRE as a Project Engineer in 2024 . In my previous project management experience for cryogenic equipment and robotic adhesive dispensing, I always aimed to be methodical and thorough in my work. I aspire to bring this experience to the management of certification projects and continue to develop within BRE.
